Born and raised in Allentown, Pa, Greg Snyder realized his strong interest in music, as a result of his exposure to his father’s guitar playing. He began studying classical guitar. After six years of classical training from Ted Williams and three years of Blues/Jazz training from Gus Schnabel, Greg made his move to Philadelphia to study Jazz Performance at Temple University. Studying under Tom Giacabetti and Terell Stafford, Greg quickly became a premier guitarist, in the Philadelphia area. He had the privilege of performing in master classes with Clark Terry, Antonio Hart, Conrad Herwig, Jimmy Heath, Steve Davis, and many others. He has performed at the Kenedy Center, the Kimmel Center, the Midwest Jazz Clinic, the July 4th Welcome America Festival in Philadelphia, Musikfest, Mayfair, Beleve Fest, the Lincoln Center, the Rainbow Room, the Liacourus Center, the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society, The Allentown Symphony Hall, and many other local hotels, restaurants, bars, and music festivals in Philadelphia and the outlying regions. Greg has also played in many local musicals and has worked with other local musicians such as: The Slicked Up Nines, Patrick Hughes, Justin Leigh, Justin Carney, Chris Beck, Yoichi Uzecki, Wally Bechtold, Tyrone Fredericks, Ken Pedergast, Josh Orlando, Jake Maunch, Alison Paige and many others. After graduating from Temple University with a jazz performance degree, Greg joined the faculty at the Conservatory of Musical Arts in Haddonfield, NJ. He has also joined the faculty at; Paul VI Catholic High School in Haddonfield, NJ, Bishop Shanahan Catholic High School in Downingtown, PA, and Bucks County Piano in Levittown, PA. Greg is also signed under BRP Entertainment in Harrisburg, Pa where he performs weddings, cocktail hours, corporate events, etc.
