Jon is a freelance trombone player in the Philadelphia area. He has played with bands of all different styles including jazz, Latin, soul, funk, classical, and rock. He has also recorded on albums with the likes of Will Smith, Gerald Levert, R. Kelly, and John Legend. He started playing the trombone at the age of 11 and after high school studied at the University of the Arts where he received his Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies. Upon graduation he went on to play with the Disney All-Star Band in Los Angeles and then for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines before returning to the Philadelphia area. Recently he has completed the teacher certification program at Rowan University and is now a certified teacher in New Jersey.
